Geelong coach Chris Scott was involved in an “animated” discussion with assistant Nathan Buckley after a nightmare opening quarter against Fremantle on Saturday.
The Cats conceded a whopping eight goals to the Dockers in the first term to continue their cold start to the season.

Last week they were humiliated on the Gold Coast, trailing by 80 points at one point before eventually losing by 56.
Returning to their home fortress this week, the Cats would have liked their chances of bouncing back, but Fremantle had other ideas.
The visitors ran riot in an explosive first quarter, kicking eight goals to open up a 33-point advantage at the first break.
During the quarter-time break, Scott and Buckley were seen having a chat about what went wrong.
Buckley, the former Collingwood champion and coach, joined the Cats as an assistant in the off-season and is in charge of the defence.
The Geelong defence has been one of the best in the league during Scott’s time in charge, but looks anything but a strong unit after the opening two games.
“This is a pretty animating discussion. And he went straight to Nathan Buckley, who we know is loosely responsible for the defence, which is under all sorts of pressure,” Hawthorn great Jason Dunstall said on Fox Footy.
“And Scotty was asking some questions here and asking questions about what’s going on.
“You don’t normally see him like this … he’s as laid back as any coach that there is. He realises they are a bit off the pace at the moment.
“He wound them all up at quarter-time because he wasn’t happy with what he was seeing.”
The Cats responded with the first three goals of the second term to get back into the match, but the Dockers steadied to take a 22-point lead into half-time.
More to come …
