Smile! Oprah’s fave electric toothbrush is $19 — nearly 25% off — for Memorial Day

A quality electric toothbrush is always a smart purchase. And if you want your pearly whites to shine like Oprah’s, the media queen counts herself as a fan of the highly rated Philips One by Sonicare Toothbrush. “I’ve long been a Sonicare user, and I’m excited about this travel-friendly version, complete with a sleek case,” she said, naming it one of her Favorite Things a few years back. Why is this also a smart buy right now? Well, it happens to be on sale at Amazon — just $19 for Memorial Day, thanks to a markdown with a .97 Amazon credit added on top.

Take your brushing experience to the next level with micro-vibrations that clean and polish your teeth better than regular ol’ scrubbing.

Why is it a good deal? 💰

When Oprah says she approves of something, we listen. And while we might not always have the budget to afford her more luxurious faves, she’s been known to make some budget-friendly picks too — and $19 for something we’ll use multiple times a day seems pretty doable.

Why do I need this? 🤔

Using an electric toothbrush is typically far more effective than manual brushing, and this model uses micro-vibrations and gentle nylon tapered bristles to polish teeth and remove plaque. A two-minute timer with 30-second notifications allows you to brush those pearly whites for the appropriate amount of time, while the three-month battery life means you won’t have to sub that out very often (it comes with one AAA, so you can start using it right out of the box).

It’s also portable and comes with a compact travel case, ideal for stowing safely as you jet off for vacation. And can we talk about those gorgeous colors? There’s light blue, navy, coral and yellow for anyone who likes a bright pop, but neutrals like black and white are available in rechargeable models as well (and they’re also on sale!).

What reviewers say 💬

Oprah isn’t the only enthusiast — this travel-ready toothbrush has more than 12,000 five-star ratings from Amazon customers to back it up.

Pros 👍

“Well-designed, very well-priced on sale, powered by batteries that are included … It is compact, can fit in a purse or night kit, and is very vibrant. It does a great cleaning job and should last a long time. No cords or plug-ins of any kind are needed,” said this savvy, no-frills shopper.

“It is a great quality and doesn’t feel cheap in your hand,” agreed another buyer. “The vibration isn’t too strong and cleans your teeth really well. I also really like the case that it comes with; it fits in it nice and tight and has breathing holes in it so that it is able to dry and mold and germs don’t start growing in it.”

A third reviewer followed their dentist’s orders: “I have been using this toothbrush for almost a year now and I love it. It was recommended to me by my dentist because it is an affordable electric toothbrush and even has a two-minute timer with 30-second intervals in between for ease of cleaning. Perfect for at home and traveling. Battery is still going strong for over six months!”

“My dental hygienist has been hounding me to get an electric toothbrush, so I got this one,” explained a final fan. “Two weeks after getting it, I left for Iceland. I loved how easy it was to pack this up and take it with me and to be able to travel without disrupting my normal teeth-cleaning routine. I also like that it takes a standard AAA battery rather than some obscure battery size.”

Cons 👎

“Was looking for something to use for travel and I think this is as close to perfect as I can get,” said one shopper, adding as their lone criticism, “The only reason I gave it four stars is because the bristles are a little tougher than what I thought they would be.”

“I’ve been using it for months, here is the conclusion: battery life is great, travel case is nice, a little bulky, [but] weak power,” said this discerning reviewer. “It gets the job done, but I can hear my normal Sonicare toothbrush in my head and my teeth feel super clean after. This one feels like 60% of the power, so 60% of the clean.”

Now the only question is this: Which color do you choose?

Also on sale, this rechargeable version comes in four shades, including a forest green and a charming blush color.

“I have the $400 Oral-B AI brush,” noted one expert-level fan who works in a dentist’s office. “I’ve had probably a couple hundred brushes … I’ve tried them all. … I’d place this and the $400 brush on the exact same level.”
