Morgan Business Sales, Australia’s leading national business brokerage firm, have announced their award winners for the 2023/24 financial year. In the state of Victoria, the winner for the 2023/24 financial year was Steven Rossi.
One broker in each state was presented with a ‘Business Broker Of The Year’ award, while a few other awards including the prestigious ‘National Business Broker Of The Year’ were also presented.
The awards were based on transactions from the preceding 12 months (July 1 2023 to June 30 2024) and were presented in person at the Morgan Business Sales annual conference which was held at Coolangatta in Queensland.
In the state of Victoria, the winner for the 2023/24 financial year was Steven Rossi. It was Steven’s first time taking out the prestigious ‘Victorian Business Broker Of The Year’ award. Dru Morgan, the director of Morgan Business Sales, was full of praise for Steven’s performance.
“Steven is an excellent business broker. Whenever anyone in our group has a complex problem, they turn to Steve. Before joining us he spent two decades at the forefront of finance and accounting. There’s not much he hasn’t seen before and it really shows. His clients love working with him. ”
When queried whether he believed Steven could take out the Award again in 2024/25, Mr Morgan declared that while Steven will be in the mix, he will be hard pressed to achieve the feat again.
“There are so many fantastic businesses in the pipeline at the moment. While Steven will have his share of them, he won’t be alone in having a great selection of quality stock. I don’t think there will be much separating our brokers next year.”
Reflecting on the event and the year that had been, Mr Morgan stated that he couldn’t be prouder of his team.
“The brokers smashed 2023/24 out of the park. It’s not very common for a business of our age to achieve the growth we did last year. It would not be possible without our amazing team. It was great to get the opportunity to recognise the outstanding work that they’ve all been doing.”
